Catalyst for Hysteria - Dave Nevard Expressionist art

Catalyst for Hysteria - Dave Nevard Expressionist art

In this exciting new show we see artist Dave Nevard pushing to further immerse himself in his passion for expressionism. Catalyst for Hysteria is a brand new collection- never seen in public before- created specifically for this exhibition. The emotional charge used to create it, was fuelled by the range of sensations experienced whilst working under pressure with the clock ticking down towards the show start date. The final piece of the collection- pre titled Catalyst for Hysteria - is produced on the show's opening night, in front of a live audience. A mind bending, atmospheric soundtrack, also performed live, by electronic and synth based experimental musician Paul Blackburn, aka Space Cat, will accompany the artist at work and vice versa. A live light show will complete the triptych piece, improvised by Andy Barak-Smith. The wired trio plan to feed off of each other, with no idea as to what will happen until the event.

With their first exhibition, Pride and Glory bring together an outstanding collection of local, national and international artists. With tattoos becoming an art form in their own right, and tattooists establishing themselves as the talented creative artists they are on an anatomical or more classic medium. This exhibition takes a look at the paintings and more classic pieces of artwork produced by such artists. As well as the ever growing number of classical painters and illustrators who have been inspired by the culture and trends of the tattoo world. We also celebrate the tattoo artist's canvas itself " The Living Body". Collecting together a number of artist's who use the human body and anatomical art as their muse, studying it's forms or inner workings to create beautiful pieces of art. As well as the ever popular art of taxidermy with it's use of animal and human anatomy, to create striking sculptures and times less elegant pieces.
