All reception staff are incredibly knowledgable and will strive to advise you in your ideas, and which artist will be best suited to them. Once they have an idea of what it is you have in mind they can then advise on price and the time it will take to complete your tattoo. No appointment is required when looking to speak to our friendly reception team, should you need more help they can then get you booked in for a consultation with the artist, who will then work one on one with you in that appointment to make sure your ideas are all understood. All bookings to get tattooed do require a non refundable deposit, of half of your overall quoted price in order to hold the appointment. The deposit will come off the end price and more information about it can be found in the FAQS below. FAQs
- I would like to get tattoo at Pride & Glory, what's the next step in the booking process?
We encourage customers to pop in first and speak to us in person. One of our friendly expert reception staff will always be available to discuss and help you refine your tattoo ideas. They are here to aid you in your design decisions and advise on which artist will best suit your project. You do not need to book an appointment to speak to our reception staff, simply pop in when you are free and someone will always be available to help. If you need further help before booking they can then book you in for a consultation with the chosen artist. If you can not easily pop in or live further away, you can use the client form on this page to email us your thoughts and ideas and we can contact you to take it from there. We offer all our help and advise for free, but we do require a deposit before we can hold any time for you to ensure you get the appointment you want .
- What is the deposit for?
The deposit is to secure an appointment for the artist, to ensure that their valuable time and the customers is not wasted. We do not require a deposit for consultations or touch ups, but every booking to be tattooed will require a deposit of half of your overall quoted price. All deposits come off the end price , which helps spread the cost of the tattoo for the customer to make things easier for yourself also. Deposits are non refundable should you cancel or need to move it without giving us 72 hours notice for any reason, you will lose the deposit, this includes being late for your appointment. If you wish to move appointment as long as we have 72 hours notice, which must be given in person by visiting the studio or calling and speaking to someone directly during opening hours then your deposit will still be secure. When booking all customers will fill in a deposit guarantee informing you of these requirements, and you will receive an email confirmation of the deposit and it's terms. Link to full deposit /appointment rescheduling terms and conditions here.
- Can I get a quote on a tattoo?
Yes we are more than happy to help, we always recommend coming into the studio for a quote. Quoting over the phone or by email is not possible in most circumstances , as we cannot discuss details and therefore over phone or email can only give a very rough estimation, if any.
- How much is a sleeve?
This all depends on the sleeve! Large pieces like this tend to be charged by the hour and it's simply a case of however long it takes. Which is dependant on what you have and the amount of detail involved.
- What are your rates?
Our minimum charge is £35.00, and our hourly rate is £75.00. Only very large pieces tend to be charged by the hour with most pieces being given a set quote depending on the size , detail and amount of work involved. For large ongoing pieces we offer flat rate day sessions of anything over 5 hours for £400, which can work out as more beneficial for the customer in the long run, as it saves money and gets work progressed through quicker.
- Do you do gift vouchers?
Yes, we provide a range of denominations ranging from 5 upwards and you are able to buy these from the shop. The redemption and use of any voucher is subject to our terms and conditions.
- How long is your waiting list?
This all depends on the artist and how long your tattoo will require. Our reception staff should be able to advise you of this once they know a few details about what it is you are looking for. We can also offer evening and Sunday appointments, the only difference being that a small "out of hours " charge of £35 is added onto the price of the tattoo.
- Most of the tattoos on the website are large and intricate what if I want something small and simple?
The artist' s gallery's are purely to give the customer an idea of their style and artwork. It's not an indication of what they will only do. Our artists are just as happy to do a small simple but perfectly executed design for you.
- Are all your artist's licensed?
Everyone that works at Pride & Glory is fully licensed by the local Environmental Health department, and have had full checks run. You can view the artists license in the studio. We pride ourselves on outstanding levels of hygiene and cleanliness.
- I have something very specific I want designed can your artists do it?
Yes we are a custom based shop and we encourage our customers to think outside of the box and create something unique and personal to them. Most customers are asked to bring in a rough idea or reference of their ideas, and if need be can be discussed in a consultation. We do not charge for drawings , but to avoid anyone's time being wasted we do require that an appointment for the tattoo be booked before we start the design process. We will do everything we can to make your ideas a reality, however some designs may need tweaking in order to work their best as a tattoo that will survive over time, and if an idea will not work out, artists can advise on this.
- Can I see my design before?
We do not send out designs or allow copies or photos to be taken until it has been tattooed. Both for the artists sake and the customers so that someone cannot take your design idea elsewhere. You are welcome to come and view it the day before, we just ask that we are informed and it's booked in advance so the artist can make sure they have time free.
- Do you have designs I can pick from?
Our artists are always working on their collections of pre drawn designs for you to pick from. With a wide array there is something to appeal to everyone. Each design will only be done once and so will still be custom to you.
- I want a cover up can it be done?
This is all dependant on the existing tattoo and what you would like done with it. We ask that you try and visualise what you would have if you could have anything, not what you think you have to have to cover it. This means you are not settling for another tattoo you will be unhappy with. We then ask you to collect together reference of you ideas and let us view the existing tattoo and we can discuss the options from there.
- I don't live near the studio but would still like to book in, can I do this?
We can book you in after discussing ideas online, we will still require a deposit however but have a number of secure ways that we can take the payment online.
- Do you do piercing?
No
- Will you tattoo my hands/neck/fingers?
Most artists will not tattoo someone on these areas unless they have 70% of their body tattooed already. Should you still want this tattoo done, please visit the studio and we can discuss it with you.
- Do you do white tattoos?
White tattoos do not last well and can end up looking like a scar, so we do tend to discourage customers from this type of tattoo. Should you still want this type of tattoo please pay us a visit to discuss in person.
- I'm under 18 but have my parents permission, can I get tattooed?
It is absolutely against the law to tattoo anyone under the age of 18, even if parents are consenting. However once you turn 18 we are more than happy to create you a beautiful tattoo.
- Can I bring people with me when I get tattooed?
We can get very busy and space is limited , so we do ask that you please do not bring groups of people with you. You are welcome to bring someone with you, but if the tattoo area is busy that day they may have to sit in the reception. No children or anyone under the age of 18 are allowed into the tattoo area at any point
- Can I get tattooed whilst pregnant or breast feeding?
Here at Pride & Glory we will not tattoo someone who is pregnant or breast feeding. Due to increased risk of infection, and it also thought the stress or trauma of getting a tattoo could possibly have an effect on milk production most credible tattoo artist's will not tattoo someone that is pregnant or breast feeding.
